So the 2009 season is finally upon us. I have been anticipating this season ever since the end of my 2008 season. I have a great duathlon planed to start off the season. The Du (5K/18M/5K) will take place in Denver, CO in the Cherry Creek State Park. The race which hosts 500 multisport athletes also boasts a strong elite field. This race will be my debut for racing with the elite athletes. I am very nervous and am planning on running my own race. The game plan is to run a 17:30 opening 5K, settle in on the bike and put out a strong 25mph average, and finish up the final 5K trying to pick off any athletes in front of me. I am hoping for the best and am very optimistic about the whole experience. I will post results on Sunday May 10th. Stay tuned in for further updates.
